Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Diane Parrett of Norton Shores to the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery.
The 11-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with overseeing the practice of more than 8,200 osteopathic doctors.
"I thank Diane for her continued commitment to the health of Michiganders,” Snyder said.
Parrett is a physician with Mercy Health Partners and is board certified in family practice and sports medicine and remains active in teaching medical students, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioner students. She serves on Mercy Health Partners Hospital Executive Council as well as the Retention and Recruitment committees. Parrett holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hope College and a D.O. from Kirskville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She will continue to represent physicians.
Parrett will serve a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2021. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
