Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Michael Winkler of Hamilton to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy.

The 11-member board advises and assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with overseeing the practice of physical therapists.

“I thank Michael for his commitment to this board,” Snyder said.

Winkler was a building inspector for 35 years. He previously was a building official for Holland Charter Township and served on the Barrier Free Design Board as the municipal building inspector. He will represent the general public and replace Linda Minter.

Winkler will be serving a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2021. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
