LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder released the following statement regarding the passing of former Congressman Joe Knollenberg:

"I'm saddened to hear of the passing of former Congressman Joe Knollenberg. Joe represented Michigan in our nation's capital for sixteen years and also served in the United States Army. His service to this nation, our state and his constituents will never be forgotten. Sue and I are sending heartfelt condolences to Joe's wife, Sandie, his sons, Marty and Steve, and the entire Knollenberg family during this difficult time."
