Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan Board of Marriage and Family Therapy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Amy Campbell of Lansing to the Michigan Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.

The nine-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in overseeing the practice of more than 800 marriage and family therapists.

“I thank Amy for serving on this board and I’m confident her experience in this field will be a positive asset,” Snyder said.

Campbell is the owner of Campbell Therapy Services, PLLC and previously served as a contractual therapist for Perspectives Therapy Services, LLC. She is a clinical fellow member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Campbell holds a bachelor’s degree in family community services from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Northwestern University. She will represent professionals and replace Kathleen Jager.

Campbell will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring June 30, 2019. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
