Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Board of Professional Engineers

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Charles Hookham of Ann Arbor to the Board of Professional Engineers.
The nine-member board regulates the practice of professional engineers and is housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
“Charles’ experience managing and working with engineers gives me confidence he will continue to serve this board well,” Snyder said.
Hookham is the director of business development and projects for CMS Enterprises. He previously served as vice president of HDR Engineers and his project experience includes work with DTE Energy, Consumers Energy and several other utilities across the country. Hookham holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in finance from Eastern Michigan University. He will continue to represent professional engineers.
Hookham will serve a four-year term expiring March 31, 2022. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
