Thursday, April 19, 2018

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Phyllis Howard of Muskegon to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates the service of more than 6,000 real estate appraisers.

“I thank Phyllis for her service and I’m confident she will be a positive addition to this board,” Snyder said.

Howard is an educator at EduStaff, an organization that provides educational staffing and human resource services for schools, and she previously was the owner of Shear Elegance Salon by Phyllis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in retail management from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in adult education, and training from the University of Phoenix. She will represent the general public and fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Kristi Kozubal.

Howard will serve the remainder of a four-year term to expire June 30, 2018. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
