LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Sara Dupuis of East Lansing to the Michigan Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
The nine-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in overseeing the practice of more than 800 marriage and family therapists.
“Sara has extensive experience in this field and I’m confident her experience will serve the board well,” Snyder said.
Dupuis is the clinical director of Stepping Stones Therapy and operates her own private mental health practice. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kenyon College, a master’s degree in marriage and family psychotherapy from Wayne State University and a Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy from Michigan State University. She will continue to represent professionals.
Dupuis will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2022. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
