Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to the Michigan Apple Committee

LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Mark Youngquist of Kent City and Robert Gregory of Leland to the Michigan Apple Committee.
Established in 1965, the committee's seven members develop and implement marketing programs and educational activities on behalf of more than 900 family apple growers.
"I thank Mark and Robert for their continued commitment to this committee," Snyder said.
Youngquist is the owner of Mark W. Youngquist, a successful fruit production farming enterprise. He has more than 30 years of experience in the fruit and grain industry. He will continue to represent District 3.
Gregory is the owner and manager of Cherry Bay Orchard, Inc., and he has more than 40 years of experience as a fruit grower. He has served in numerous leadership roles, including president of Michigan State Horticultural Society, trustee of the Michigan State Horticultural Society Trust, director of Michigan Farm Bureau, and chair of the NW Michigan Horticultural Foundation. Gregory holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Michigan State University. He will continue to represent District 5.
Appointees will serve three-year terms expiring April 1, 2021. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
