Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Board of Professional Engineers

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Brett Karl of White Lake to the Board of Professional Engineers.
The nine-member board regulates the practice of professional engineers and is housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
“I thank Brett for lending his expertise to this board,” Snyder said. “His skills and knowledge give me confidence he will represent the public well.”
Karl is a senior architect for the software company ServiceNow. He previously worked as a senior technical consultant for iDashboards and was a software analyst for Compuware Corporation. Karl holds an associate degree in science from Oakland Community College and is studying management of information systems at Ashford University. He will represent the general public and replace Cary Marshall Junior.
Karl will serve a four-year term to expire March 31, 2022. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
