Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Talent Investment Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Marisue Moreau of Onaway to the Governor’s Talent Investment Board.
The Governor’s Talent Investment Board is charged with advising and assisting the Governor regarding compliance with the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 and implementation of a statewide unified talent plan. The board brings together employers, educators, labor and apprenticeship representatives, as well as community-based organizations to make recommendations on how to best develop workforce talent across the state.
“The work of the Talent Investment Board is instrumental in innovating and enhancing Michigan’s workforce to create job opportunities for Michiganders,” Snyder said. “I thank Marisue for serving on this board.”
Moreau is the executive director of Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium and previously served in the role of fiscal director. She is a member of the Regional Prosperity Initiative, Northeast Michigan Council of Governments, Community Development Collaborative and is the treasurer of the Onaway Community Chamber. Moreau holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferris State University. She will represent community-based organizations and replace Elaine Wood.
Moreau will serve a three-year term expiring April 15, 2021.
