LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Paul Barber of Freeport and Ian Koffler of Grand Rapids to the Michigan Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board is responsible for determining licensing requirements for nursing home administrators.
“These appointees are dedicated individuals, and I am confident they will properly represent nursing home administrators and the public,” Snyder said.
Barber is regional vice president of operations for Trinity Health Senior Communities. He previously served as administrator of HRC Manorcare, Farmington Health Care Center, Tendercare Hastings and WIT Home Health Services, LLC. Barber holds a bachelor’s degree from Alma College and a master’s degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University. He will continue to represent nursing home administrators.
Koffler is a principal with Miller Canfield, Paddock and Stone, PLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in leadership studies from the University of Richmond, a master’s degree in public administration and a law degree from the University of Kentucky. He will continue to represent the general public.
Members will serve four-year terms expiring June 30, 2022. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
