Gov. Rick Snyder issued the following statement after the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget announced the state’s unemployment rate has fallen to 4.3 percent, the lowest recorded rate since December of 2000:
“Michigan is continuing on the best possible path to a prosperous future. For as long as we stay on this path and don’t become complacent, our job market will continue expanding. As the new school year begins and the Marshall Plan for Talent is implemented, we are taking action to prepare students for the available careers of today and tomorrow so that we have the labor force ready to meet demand.”
