Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to Local Community Stabilization Authority Council

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Donald Rogers of Coldwater to the Local Community Stabilization Authority Council.

The five-member council is the governing body of the Local Community Stabilization Authority. The authority is responsible for coordinating access to public rights-of-way and the payment of maintenance fees by telecommunications providers to municipalities. Additionally, the authority is responsible for distributing personal property tax replacement revenue to municipalities throughout the state.

“Donald has shown great initiative on this council, and I look forward to seeing how he will continue to impact it over the next few years,” Snyder said.

Rogers is the Coldwater Township supervisor and previously served as treasurer and trustee. Prior to his service with the township, he worked with the Michigan Department of Corrections for more than 20 years. Rogers is a graduate of the Lake Michigan College Police Academy and the Michigan Department of Corrections Academy. He also is certified by the Association of Public Treasurers as a public finance administrator and public finance investment manager.

Rogers will serve a six-year term expiring Sept. 3, 2024.
