 Casino Operations – July 2014

Aggregate revenue for the three Detroit casinos for the month ending July 31, 2014, was down 0.9% when compared to the same month last year. Revenue was up 2.1% when compared to June 2014. For year-to-date July 31, 2014, the aggregate revenue for the three Detroit casinos was down 3.3% compared to the same period last year.

Revenue for MotorCity and Greektown were up 5.3% to $36.5 million and 9.0% to $28.5 million, respectively, whereas MGM was down by 10.0% to $46.3 million, when compared to July 2013.

The market shares for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown for July 2014 were 42%, 33%, and 25%, respectively.

For the month ending July 31, 2014, gaming taxes for the three Detroit casinos were $9.0 million compared to $9.1 million for the same period last year.
