Governor Rick Snyder Makes Reappointment to Gaming Control Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Bob Anthony, of Northville, to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

The five-member board oversees licensing and regulations for commercial casinos in Detroit. No more than three members can be from the same political party.

"I am confident Bob will continue to ensure the integrity of Michigan’s casino gaming industry. He has brought great insight to the board and I thank him for his continued service,” Snyder said.

Anthony most recently worked with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP where he served as a senior risk and quality partner before his retirement. Anthony is also a past member of the Pricewaterhouse Coopers Global Audit Policy Board and worked as a review partner for Cummings Inc. and Dana Corp. Anthony earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He continues to represent Republicans and serves as chair.

Anthony will serve a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2018. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
