The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission is in dormant status and not actively meeting. It will remain in dormant status until there is a legal challenge to the existing maps or the 2030 Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission is seated.

In addition to an online application portal, and a constitutionally required mailing of 250,000 applications to Michigan registered voters selected at random, the Department of State made applications available in several languages.
