Indian River Man Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Damien Joseph-Michael Slaven, 26 of Indian River, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, possession of child sexually abusive material, distributing or promoting child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.

Slaven was arrested following an investigation which was initiated when it was discovered Slaven was viewing child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of Slaven’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.

Slaven was charged with one count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material, one count of distributing or promoting child sexually abusive material, and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Slaven was arraigned in the 89th Judicial District Court on Thursday, December 18.
