Belding Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

BELDING, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Matthew Scott Polise, 35 of Belding, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime. 

Polise was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Polise was obtaining files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. The Belding Police Department assisted with the investigation.  

Polise was charged with one count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Polise was arraigned in the 64-A District Court on Friday, April 24. 

The MSP Computer Crimes Unit encourages parents to speak to their children about the safe use of the internet.
