Hazel Park Man Arrested for Child Sexually Abusive Activity

HAZEL PARK, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Russell Joseph Wright, 51 of Hazel Park, for aggravated child sexually abusive activity.

Wright was arrested following an investigation which was initiated by Homeland Security Investigations, Northville Township Police, and the Michigan ICAC Task Force when it was learned that Wright may have participated in, directed, and funded the sexual assault of children. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.

Wright was charged with six counts of child sexually abusive activity – aggravated. Wright was arraigned in the 43rd District Court of Hazel Park on Friday, August 14.
