Maple City Man Arrested for Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity

MAPLE CITY, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Thomas Joseph Dahir III, 46 of Maple City, for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Dahir was arrested following an investigation which began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search of Dahir’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Dahir was charged with one count of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Dahir was arraigned in the 86th Judicial District Court on Monday, August 17.
