MENOMINEE, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Alexander Aikman, 28 of Menominee, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
Aikman was arrested following an investigation that was initiated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the ICAC Task Force when it was learned that Aikman may be in possession of illicit content on the internet. A search warrant was executed on his residence and digital evidence was seized.
Aikman was charged with seven counts of child sexually abusive material – aggravated possession and seven counts of using a computer to commit a crime. He was arraigned in the 95A Judicial District Court of Menominee County on Wednesday, August 26.
The ICAC Task Force was assisted by the Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, the Menominee Police Department, and the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department.
