Community Violence Intervention Dashboard Goes Live

The Michigan State Police (MSP) Grants and Community Services Division (GCSD) and the University of Michigan Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention (IFIP) have launched an online resource designed for community members, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to identify available programs across the state.

The dashboard, funded through the federal Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP), provides information about violence prevention and intervention programs, contact information and general location information. By having this information in one spot, violence prevention strategies and programs are more accessible to Michigan communities.

The programs and resources included in the Michigan Byrne SCIP Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Dashboard were compiled through structured searches of publicly available information, including program and organizational websites, government resources, news coverage, reports, and other online materials. MSP GCSD and IFIP team members reviewed and consolidated the search results to identify programs and collect available program details.

The dashboard is not a comprehensive list of every CVI program operating in Michigan. Programs with limited or no online presence may not be represented, and information may change over time. Inclusion in the dashboard does not constitute endorsement by the MSP GCSD or IFIP
