CANTON, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Julio Cesar Maldonado, 32 of Canton, for criminal sexual conduct – second degree, child sexually abusive activity - aggravated, possession of child sexually abusive material – aggravated, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Maldonado was arrested following an investigation which was initiated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the ICAC Task Force when it was learned that Maldonado may have produced and manufactured illicit content on the internet. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Maldonado was charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct – second degree, one count of child sexually abusive activity - aggravated, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material – aggravated, and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Maldonado was arraigned in the 35th District Court of Plymouth on Friday, September 18.
