Topics covered include understanding wildlife management, wildlife identification, ethics, laws and regulations, and firearms safety and handling. To purchase a hunting license in Michigan, an individual born on or after Jan. 1, 1960, is required to successfully complete an approved hunter education course. Participants must pass a written exam (80% or better) and practice assessments (pass/fail).

Participants must be age 10 or older. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Regular admission fees apply for building access.

Preregistration is required. This is a free class for registered participants.
