WHEREAS, life insurance is critically important in protecting ourselves and the people we love; and,
WHEREAS, every year, the insurance industry provides tremendous financial relief and security to families who have experienced the loss of a loved one; and,
WHEREAS, despite its vast importance, many people do not have life insurance coverage; and,
WHEREAS, life insurance is critically important in providing peace of mind for those affected by the loss of their loved ones; and,
WHEREAS, 46% of Americans don't have adequate life insurance despite its importance; and,
WHEREAS, annuities provide families with guaranteed income options for long term financial planning; and,
WHEREAS, annuities give families much-needed peace of mind and financial security; and,
WHEREAS, the month of September has been designated to generate awareness of life insurance, and encourage those who are not insured to consult a qualified insurance professional and take actions required to provide a financially secure future for their families and loved ones;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gretchen Whitmer, governor of Michigan, do hereby proclaim September 2021 as Life Insurance and Annuity Awareness Month in Michigan.
