This list of organizations includes those who are able to provide financial assistance for certain types of equipment for children with special needs. This is not an all-inclusive list.
The DNM serves as an advocate for inclusion and accessibility throughout Michigan. They are dedicated to helping persons with disabilities achieve full participation in their community and life and remain self-sufficient.
The Family Center offers emotional support, information, and connections to community-based resources to families of children and youth with special health care needs. This includes all children who have or are at an increased risk for: physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions. Children do not need to be enrolled in CSHCS to receive services from the Family Center.
MRS supports eligible individuals with disabilities to prepare for, secure, retain, advance in, or regain employment. MRS serves people in their communities through 35 field offices staffed by master's degree-level rehabilitation counselors. In addition, one or more MRS counselors are on staff at each of the 100 Michigan Works! Service Centers.
This list contains vendors who have provided equipment to CSNF applicants such as ceiling and stairlifts, van lifts/vehicle accessibility devices, and wheelchair lifts. Vendors are listed alphabetically, and the order does not indicate any preference or priority. This list is for information only and is not all-inclusive.
