Housed within the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the 10-member board establishes, administers and promotes the Farm Produce Insurance Fund.
“Paul and Mark have been great assets to the board and I thank them for their continued service,” Snyder said.
Koeman is a partner at Koeman Farms. Koeman earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ferris State. He will continue to represent producers from the largest Michigan organization representing general farm interests in Michigan.
Metz is the owner of a private farm where he has worked for over 20 years. He is a member of Michigan Farm Bureau and Monroe County Farm Bureau where he currently serves on the legal defense committee. He is the vice president of the board of directors of the Ida Farmer’s Cooperative Co. Metz earned an associate degree from Monroe County Community College. He will continue to represent the largest Michigan organization exclusively representing wheat producers in Michigan.
Members serve three-year terms expiring June 20, 2017. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
