Governor Granholm Announces New Appointments

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments to the Criminal Justice Information System Policy Council and the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports.
Criminal Justice Information System Policy Council
Alan W. Kimichik, of Williamston, an inspector general for the Family Independence Agency. Kimichik is appointed to represent human services concerns for a term expiring at the pleasure of the Governor. He succeeds Richard O’Herron who has resigned.
Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports
Marilyn Anderson, of Detroit, a dietitian and certified diabetes educator for Southeast Michigan Diabetes Outreach Network and the African American Initiative for Male Health Improvement. Anderson is appointed for a term expiring April 16, 2005. She succeeds Diane Kniowski whose term has expired.
William Dabish, of Novi, president of Powerhouse Consultants LLC. Dabish is appointed for a term expiring April 16, 2005. He succeeds Leonard Smith whose term has expired.
Geraldine Jackson, of Detroit, a retired recreation supervisor currently working in sales for Jack Golden Associates. She is re-appointed for a term expiring April 16, 2005.
Michael Maisner, of Okemos, the executive director of Michigan Recreation and Park Association. Maisner is re-appointed for a term expiring April 16, 2005.
Kimberlydawn Wisdom, of Southfield, the Michigan Surgeon General. She is appointed as honorary chair for a term expiring October 7, 2004.
These appointments are not subject to advice and consent of the Senate.
