Governor Granholm Makes Appointments and Reappointments to Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the following recent appointments and reappointments to the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
Steven Horn of Beverly Hills, chief operating officer of the Detroit Zoological Society. Mr. Horn is appointed for a term expiring September 1, 2006. He succeeds Judith Rapanos whose term has expired.
George N’Namdi of Belleville, president and owner of G.R. N’Namdi Galleries in Detroit and Chicago. Mr. N’Namdi is appointed for a term expiring September 1, 2006. He succeeds Judith Stillion whose term has expired.
Craig Ruff of Okemos, resident and CEO of Public Sector Consultants. Mr. Ruff is appointed for a term expiring September 1, 2006 and is also designated as chairperson of the council to serve at the pleasure of the Governor. He succeeds Carol Van Andel whose term has expired.
Lillian Bauder, Ph.D. of West Bloomfield, vice president of corporate affairs for Masco Corporation. Dr. Bauder is reappointed for a term expiring September 1, 2006.
Jon L. Stryker of Kalamazoo, president of Jon Stryker Architecture, LLC. Mr. Stryker is reappointed for a term expiring September 1, 2006.
The council serves to encourage, develop, and facilitate an environment of artistic, creative, and cultural activity for the State and disburses funds and makes grants to the public and private arts and cultural entities.
