Governor Granholm Announces Appointments to the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments and reappointments to the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards. The commission administers all law enforcement standards and criminal justice training activities and funds statewide.
James Bosscher of McBain, sheriff of Missaukee County. Mr. Bosscher is appointed to represent elected sheriffs for a term expiring November 1, 2004. He succeeds Thomas Edmonds who has resigned.
John Sosa of Lincoln Park, vice president of the Michigan State Police Troopers Association. Mr. Sosa is appointed to represent the Michigan State Police Troopers Association for a term expiring November 1, 2006. He succeeds Timothy Permoda whose term has expired.
John Buczek of Saginaw, executive director of the Michigan Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Buczek is reappointed to represent the Michigan Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police for a term expiring November 1, 2006.
James St. Louis of Midland, chief of police for the City of Midland. Mr. St. Louis is reappointed to represent the active voting members of the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police for a term expiring November 1, 2006.
Gene Wriggelsworth of Lansing, sheriff of Ingham County. Mr. Wriggelsworth is reappointed to represent elected sheriffs for a term expiring November 1, 2006.
The above appointments are all subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
