Governor Granholm Makes Appointments to Michigan Board of Social Work

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following recent appointments to the Michigan Board of Social Work.
Anwar Najor-Durack, M.S.W., ACSW of West Bloomfield, academic advisor and liaison for Wayne State University School of Social Work. Ms. Najor-Durack is appointed to represent certified social workers for a term expiring December 31, 2007. She succeeds Joseph Kort who has resigned.
David P. Stanislaw, M.S.W. of Birmingham, clinical social worker in private practice. Mr. Stanislaw is appointed to represent certified social workers for a term expiring December 31, 2008. He succeeds Matthew Lyberg whose term has expired.
The Michigan Board of Social Work is responsible for the certification and registration of persons engaged in the social work profession.
These appointments are subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
