Governor Granholm Appoints Williams to Mackinac Island State Park Commission

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following recent appointment to the Mackinac Island State Park Commission:
Father James M. Williams of Mackinaw City, pastor of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Father Williams is appointed to represent residents of Mackinaw City for a term expiring April 12, 2012. He succeeds Audrey E. Jaggi whose term has expired.
The Mackinac Island State Park Commission is responsible for all aspects of managing Mackinac State Historic Parks, which include Fort Mackinac, Mackinac Island State Park, Colonial Michilimackinac, and Historic Mill Creek.
This appointment is subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. The appointment stands confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
