Granholm Appoints Lauderbach Judge of 42nd Circuit Court

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Jonathan Lauderbach as judge of the 42nd Circuit Court, which serves Midland County.
In November, Lauderbach, of Midland, was elected to serve the 42nd Circuit Court for a term commencing January 1, 2007. He replaces the Honorable Thomas Ludington who has been appointed to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Mr. Lauderbach will serve as an appointee until his elected term commences.
Mr. Lauderbach has practiced as an attorney for Currie Kendall, P.L.C. law firm since 1994. He serves on the board of directors for the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce and Midland Tomorrow, is a trustee for the Delta College Foundation, and is a member of the Sunrise Optimist Club.
Mr. Lauderbach earned his law degree from the University of Detroit Law School and graduated from Albion College.
This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
