Governor Granholm Makes Appointments to Oakland University Board of Control

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments to the Oakland University Board of Control:
Monica E. Emerson of Rochester, executive director of the corporate diversity office for Daimler Chrysler Corporation. Ms. Emerson is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring August 11, 2014. She succeeds Rex E. Schlaybaugh, Jr. whose term has expired.
Ganesh V. Reddy of Okemos, president and CEO of BizTek Innovations. Mr. Reddy is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring August 11, 2014. He succeeds David Doyle whose term has expired.
These appointments are subject to Section 6 of Article V of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Michigan Senate within 60 days.
