Governor Granholm Announces Appointments to Advisory Board for Michigan Intelligence Operations Center for Homeland Security

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments and reappointment to the Advisory Board for the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center for Homeland Security:
Chief Timothy S. Bourgeois of Parchment, chief of police for the Kalamazoo Township Police Department, is appointed to represent chiefs of police for a term expiring November 30, 2013.
Michael A. Bruggeman of Troy, director of global security for General Motors, is appointed to represent other residents of this state for a term expiring November 30, 2013.
Richard A. Fenton of Ann Arbor, director of security for Ilitch Holdings, Inc., is appointed to represent other residents of this state for a term expiring November 30, 2013.
Stuart J. Dunnings, III of Lansing, Ingham County prosecutor, is reappointed to represent the office of a county prosecuting attorney or the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan for a term expiring November 30, 2013.
The Advisory Board for the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center for Homeland Security advises the Department of State Police regarding a privacy policy for information and intelligence in the possession of the Michigan Intelligence Operations Fusion Center that is designed to protect the political and civil rights of Michigan residents consistent with applicable state and federal law, including but not limited to, laws and regulations relating to privacy and public access to government information.
These appointments are not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
