Pelton appointed to Board of Law Examiners

LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today appointed Eric Pelton to the Board of Law Examiners.
The board investigates and examines all persons who initially apply for admission to the State Bar of Michigan.
"Eric Pelton is a tremendous public servant," Snyder said. "His 20 years of experience practicing law will benefit the board and the citizens of Michigan."
Pelton, of Bloomfield Hills, is a founding principal and managing partner of Kienbaum, Opperwall, Hard & Pelton, PLC law firm in Birmingham. He represented employers in litigation and traditional labor matters for more than 20 years. Pelton previously served on the Michigan Board of State Canvassers. He earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, a master's degree in public administration from Syracuse University and a law degree from Syracuse University School of Law.
Pelton will serve the remainder of a vacant five-year term expiring June 30, 2012. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
