Gov. Snyder's office continues tour of Michigan communities
July 06, 2012
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder's Office of Constituent Services is continuing its mobile office hours to help address questions of Michigan residents.
From July 9-13, representatives of the office will visit locations in Big Rapids, Mackinaw City and portions of the Upper Peninsula. For specific locations, times and other detailed information, visit the "Mobile Office Hours" website, or call 517-335-7858.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for citizens to ask questions or share their thoughts with representatives from my office," said Snyder. "We want to make government as accessible as possible, and I encourage anyone who is interested to visit our mobile office hours."
Staff will be available to answer questions, address concerns, offer explanations and take suggestions in regard to current government issues affecting citizens, communities and businesses.
Important topics for discussion include but are not limited to the state budget, the ongoing reinvention of Michigan and opportunities to get involved in state government. Representatives will be on hand to offer assistance with state agency relations and any other state-related matter. No appointment is necessary. The mobile hours are in addition to regular office hours of Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Lansing.
Mobile office hours will be held in more than 60 locations across the state. Previous stops included Ottawa, Muskegon, Kent, Ionia, St. Clair, Lapeer, Genesee, Shiawassee, Isabella, Midland, Saginaw and Bay counties.
