Snyder makes reappointments to Electronic Recording Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of  Diane Adams, of Saranac, Mary Hollinrake, of Grand Rapids, and Michelle Stevenson, of Houghton Lake, to the Electronic Recording Commission.

Created in 2010, the commission establishes standards and practices to keep county registers of deeds in harmony with the standards and practices of offices in other jurisdictions.

“These board members have provided great insight and I look forward to their continued contributions on this board,” Snyder said.

Adams is the Ionia County register of deeds, a position she has held since 1988. She has experience as a legal secretary. Adams is a member of the Michigan Association of Registers of Deeds and the Ionia Business and Professional Women’s Organization. She earned an associate degree from Davenport College of Business. Adams continues to represent county registers of deeds.

Hollinrake is the Kent county Clerk and register of deeds, a position she has held since 2001. She previously was chief deputy county clerk for Kent County. Hollinrake also has experience as a paralegal. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. She continues to represent county registers of deeds.

Stevenson is the county clerk and register of deeds for Roscommon County, a position she has held since 2013. Previously, she served as deputy clerk for Roscommon Township. She also has experience as a bank teller and a substitute teacher. Stevenson earned an associate degree from University of Maryland at University College. She continues to represent county registers of deeds.

Appointees will serve two-year terms expiring Jan. 1, 2017. Their appointments are not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
