April 29, 2015
LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Jennifer Fischer, of Bloomfield Hills, to the Michigan Film Office Advisory Council.
Housed within the Michigan Economic Development Corp., the 14-member Council advises the Michigan Film Office, governor and Legislature on how to promote and market aspects of the state's film industry.
"I thank Jennifer for bringing her professional skills to the council, I am confident she will be an asset to Michigan’s film industry," Snyder said.
Fischer is retired from a career in advertising, public relations, and event planning. She is active in the community, specifically in the arts and health advocacy field. She represents nominees of the Speaker of the House and replaces Marc Prey.
Fischer will serve a four-year term expiring Sept. 30, 2018. Her appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
