Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to Film Office Advisory Council

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Timothy Pietryga, of Grand Rapids, to the Michigan Film Office advisory council.
Housed within the Michigan Economic Development Corp., the 14-member council advises the Michigan Film and Digital Media Office, governor and legislature on how to promote and market aspects of the state's film industry.
"I thank Timothy for bringing his professional skills to the council and am confident he will continue to be an asset to Michigan’s film industry," Snyder said.
Pietryga is the vice president of advancement for Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and previously served as the senior public information director for Consumers Energy. Pietryga earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Southern Illinois University. He continues to represent Michigan residents.
Pietryga serves a four-year term expiring Sept. 30, 2019. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
