LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder announced today the appointment of Victor Fitz of Cassopolis to the Council on Law Enforcement and Reinvention.
The council is responsible for making substantive recommendations to the Governor and his office on issues relative to law enforcement, public safety and the criminal justice system in the state of Michigan.
"Victor’s years of service and experience in the judicial system will make him a tremendous asset to help ensure the continued success of law enforcement initiatives in Michigan,” Snyder said.
Fitz has served as Cass County Prosecutor since 2003 and previously served as president of the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan in 2014. He also served as senior assistant prosecutor in Muskegon County and chief assistant prosecutor in Tuscola County.
