Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument Fund Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Mary Johnson of Okemos and Ken Rochell of Ann Arbor to the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument Fund Commission.
The seven-member commission oversees the financing, design, and construction of Michigan's future Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
“I thank Mary and Ken for their commitment to honoring the men and women who protect us every day,” Snyder said.
Johnson is Captain of the Michigan State University Police Department. She is a member of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Johnson holds an associate degree from Lansing Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. She will continue to represent an individual nominated by the Michigan State Troopers Association who is a relative of a state trooper that was killed in the line of duty.
Rochell is a chaplain and recruiter with the Michigan State Police. He has been with MSP for more than 25 years, spending 14 years as a Sergeant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ashley University and an honorary doctorate of divinity from Destiny Christian University.
Members will serve four-year terms expiring June 30, 2020.
