Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of April Clobes of Bath to the Michigan Council on Arts and Cultural Affairs.
Housed in the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the 15-member council helps create an environment of artistic, creative and cultural activity to support Michigan's quality of life and economic vitality.
“I think April will be a great addition and serve the arts community well,” Snyder said.
Clobes is the president and CEO of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU). She is an executive board member of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Lansing Economic Area Partnership and is a member of the WKAR Advisory Council. Clobes holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in advertising from Michigan State University as well as a master’s in business administration from Western Michigan University. She will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Michael Kasper.
Clobes will serve the remainder of a three-year term expiring Sept. 1, 2018.
