Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Tiffany Gennety of Roseville and JT Stout of Lansing to the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy.
Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 11-member board plays an advisory role overseeing the practice of massage therapists.
"I thank Tiffany and JT for continuing their service on this board. I am confident they will have a positive impact on the massage therapy profession statewide," Snyder said.
Gennety is the spa director and lead licensed massage therapist for The Detroit Athletic Club – Tranquility Spa. She previously served as the lead massage therapist and service training manager for Edwin Paul Salon and Spa. She has completed various spa education programs, including The Wellspring Institute for Therapeutic Body Work. She will continue to represent professional members.
Stout is a massage therapist at Craft Chiropractic, owner of Renaissance Massage, and a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing. Stout holds a bachelor’s degree in medieval studies from Saint John’s University, a master’s degree in medieval studies from the University of Toronto, and a therapeutic massage technician diploma from the Health Enrichment Center. He will continue to represent professional members.
Members will serve four-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2020. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
