LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointments of Michael Thompson of Mason and Lori Davis of Wixom to the Michigan Automobile Theft Prevention Authority board of directors.
Housed in the Michigan State Police, the seven-member board consists of law enforcement officials, automobile insurers and consumers of automobile insurance. In partnership with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors’ offices, and nonprofit community organizations, the board works to reduce auto thefts in the state.
“I thank Michael and Lori for their commitment to this board and for their efforts to help prevent automotive theft across Michigan,” Snyder said.
Thompson retired as the vice president and general manager of the Lansing operations of Du Hadaway Kendall & Associates, Inc. (DK Security). He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in education administration from Michigan State University. He will represent purchasers of auto insurance in this state.
Davis is a senior claim service consultant and has more than 32 years of experience with Allstate Insurance Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public affairs management from Michigan State University and will represent an auto insurer doing business in the state. She will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Bill Jamnik.
Members serve the remainder of four-year terms expiring July 1, 2018. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
