Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment, reappointment to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Craig Miller of Macomb and the reappointment of Jeff Munford of Grand Haven to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy.
The 11-member board advises and assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with overseeing the practice of physical therapists.
“These individuals possess unique skillsets that will allow them to serve this committee well,” Snyder said.
Appointment:
Miller is a therapy supervisor with Beaumont Home Health Services and is a former legislative director for the Michigan Physical Therapy Association. He previously served as a senior physical therapist with Michigan Health and Rehabilitation Services and as the manager of rehabilitation services for Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Wayne State University. He will represent physical therapists and replace Renee Przystas.
Reappointment:
Munford is the director of business development at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. He previously worked in sales at Johnson & Johnson, Braintree Laboratories, and E&J Gallow Winery. Munford holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in business from Grand Valley State University. He will continue to represent the general public.
Members will serve four-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2021.Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
