LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Lisa Kravitz of Farmington Hills to the Michigan Board of Athletic Trainers.
Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 11-member board assists in overseeing the licensure and practice of athletic trainers.
“Lisa’s experience will be beneficial to this board and I thank her for devoting her time and abilities,” Snyder said.
Kravitz serves as the director of human resources at the Detroit Police Athletic League, a nonprofit organization that partners with volunteers and the Detroit Police Department to provide a safe space for children to grow through athletic, academic, and leadership development programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Michigan University. She will represent the general public and fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Gerald Myers.
Kravitz will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring June 30, 2018. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
