Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Charles Mollien of Wyoming to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy.
Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 11-member board is responsible for regulating and inspecting the practice of pharmacy and drugs manufactured and distributed in the state.
"I thank Charles for his dedication to this board," Snyder said. “His pharmaceutical experience gives me confidence that he will bring great perspective to this board.”
Mollien is a director of pharmacy compliance and a privacy officer for Meijer. He previously worked for Spectrum Health System – Priority Health as a clinical pharmacy specialist. Mollien holds a master’s degree in pharmacy regulation and policy from the University of Florida, a doctor of pharmacy from Ferris State University, and a law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. He will represent pharmacists and fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Nabil Fakih.
Mollien will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring June 30, 2018. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
