Snyder makes appointments to 4 boards and committees

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced 14 appointments and reappointments to multiple boards and committees.
“These highly qualified individuals have unique skillsets that will benefit Michigan and all our residents,” Snyder said. “I am confident they will contribute to Michigan’s success long into the future.”
Appointments:
Victoria Enyart of Jackson has over 25 years of assessment administration experience, serving as a city assessor, county equalization director and private-sector property tax agent. She earned her associate degree in assessment administration from Lansing Community College and will represent certified Level IV Assessors and fill a vacancy.
Marcus Abood of Lansing serves as a department analyst for the Michigan Department of Treasury and is a certified general real estate appraiser. He was the owner and president of Abood Appraisal Company for 18 years. Abood earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Western Michigan University and a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. He will represent real estate appraisers and replace Valerie Lafferty.
Enyart will serve the remainder of a four-year term commencing Nov. 13, 2018 and expiring June 30, 2020. Abood will serve a four-year term commencing Oct. 29, 2018 and expiring June 30, 2022. Their appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
David Marmon will serve as chair at the pleasure of the Governor.
Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery
Appointments:
Stephen Bell of Carleton is the president and attending physician at Newport Internal Medicine and is executive director of the Wayne County Osteopathic Medical Association. He serves on the Michigan Osteopathic Association Board of Trustees and previously served on the Michigan Prescription Drug and Opioid Abuse Commission. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, a master’s in ancient and medieval history from Western Washington University, as well as a master’s in health services administration and a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He will represent physicians and replace Ronald Bradley.
Reappointments:
Kathleen Kudray of Flint is chief medical officer for McLaren Health Plan and a physician for McLaren Medical Group. She serves on the McLaren Health Plan Quality Improvement Committee, the McLaren Health Care Senior Leadership Committee and the Michigan Association of Health Plans Medical Directors Committee. Kudray holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Washington University in Missouri and a doctorate in osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She will continue to represent physicians.
Members will serve four-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2022. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
Automobile Theft Prevention Authority Board of Directors
Reappointments:
Michael Thompson of Mason retired as the vice president and general manager of the Lansing operations of DuHadaway, Kendall & Associates, Inc. (DK Security). He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s in education administration from Michigan State University. He will continue to represent purchasers of auto insurance in this state.
Eugene (Gene) Adamczyk of Saugatuck is a district supervisor of Western District of Michigan for Walden Security, Federal Services Division. He previously served as the inspector general for the Michigan Department of Community Health and has served in numerous roles in his 40 years with the Michigan State Police Department. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Western Michigan University. He will continue to represent purchasers of auto insurance of this state.
Lori Davis of Wixom is a senior claim service consultant and has over 32 years of experience at Allstate Insurance Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public affairs management from Michigan State University and will continue to represent an auto insurer doing business in the state.
Curtis Caid of Brighton is chief of police for the Livonia Police Department. He began his career in law enforcement in 1979 and has held various positions within the Livonia Police Department, including uniform patrol officer, detective, uniform platoon sergeant, detective sergeant, and officer in charge of the intelligence bureau. Caid earned an associate degree from Schoolcraft College, a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Madonna University, and attended law enforcement advance leadership programs at Northwestern University, Central Michigan University, and Michigan State University.
Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue is the director of the Michigan State Police. She began her career with MSP as a trooper in 1987 and was appointed director in January 2011. She holds an associate degree from Kalamazoo Valley College and is a graduate of the 206th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Members will serve four-year terms to expire July 1, 2022. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
Michigan Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee
Appointment:
Melanie Manary of Petoskey is a physician partner for Internal Medicine of Northern Michigan, a hospitalist independent contractor for Apogee Medical Group, medical director for Northern Physicians Organization, and an attending physician at McLaren Northern Michigan Regional Hospital. She currently serves as chair of the McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Manary holds a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences from Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree in business from the University of Michigan, and a medical degree from Wayne State University. She will represent physicians and replace Venkat Rao.
Reappointments:
Jayne Courts of Caledonia is the executive medical director of internal medicine and geriatrics for Mercy Health Physician Partners. She also serves on staff at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Hospital and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hope College and a medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. She will continue to represent physicians.
Andrew Mac of Plymouth is president of AMAC Pharmacy Services and previously served as the vice president of pharmacy operations for Sav-On Drugs, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Wayne State University and will continue to represent pharmacists.
Brian Peltz of Dearborn Heights is a managing principal of government programs and services for MedImpact Healthcare System, Inc, an international pharmacy benefits manager. He previously served as vice president of medicare operations and director of pharmacy for government programs for Henry Ford Health System, HAP Midwest Health Plan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and a master’s in health system pharmacy administration from Wayne State University. He will continue to represent pharmacists.
Members will serve two-year terms expiring Oct. 1, 2020.
