Policy and Operations

The authoritative source for the Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) is the Medicaid Provider Manual. The Medicaid Provider Manual includes all of the Medicaid policies that pertain to MIHP, along with policies for other Michigan Medicaid programs. The MIHP Operations Guide details how to implement the MIHP policies outlined in the Medicaid Provider Manual. In addition, documents, desk procedures, and forms have been developed to assist providers with the implementation of the Program. These program materials include a standardized MIHP/Medicaid Health Plan (MHP) Care Coordination Agreement, new employee and waiver staff documents, office procedures, and certification requirements and tools, among other pertinent program information.
